My first guest blogger for my series ’10 things to do in…” is Gem from Gem Abroad. She is an Aussie who moved to London a year ago and is new to blogging so go and check out her new brand new blog and instagram.
I have been living in London for 12 months now and have already visited Edinburgh twice: I spent a week there last August for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and visited recently on a day trip over Easter. It is a wonderfully quaint city and one I’ve loved exploring.
Climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat
For the most magnificent views over Edinburgh, it doesn’t get better than the top of Arthur’s Seat. I’d recommend going solo, so you can huff and puff (and rest) as much as you’d like. The round trip from my hostel took about three hours at a gentle stroll and I was able to get there and back following Google maps. I was lucky to have the perfect day when I climbed in August but, as long as it isn’t pouring with rain, I would put this at the top of your Edinburgh to do list.
