This year to ring in my 30 birthday I organised a holiday with friends to a villa in Mallorca. It was a great opportunity to spend time with my friends before heading off and I’ve heard so many great things about Mallorca I was desperate to go there.
Our villa was the next bay around from Port de Alcudia in a place called Cala Poncet, it was a quiet residential area with a couple of hotels and a little beach. As soon as we arrived, we couldn’t quite believe how awesome the villa was!
I’m going to do a run down of what we got up to at the villa for a week, the routine was simple really. Sleep in, breakfast, swim, sunbathe, drink, lunch, activity, dinner, drink, drink, drink late in to the evening.
We played a lot of volley/beach ball in the pool, the trick was to not let it out of the pool because no one wanted to collect it from the drive way.
We had a beer pong competition with everyone in the villa. Anne is the champion!
We watched many a sunset from the balcony outside my room and of course did some photo shoots while we were at it.
We cooked some incredible meals most nights and sat out on the balcony, drank wine and watched the sun go down.
We spent a day out on a boat called Tudor Dawn where we swam, snorkelled, paddle boarded and sat back and enjoyed the views. More on this day to come.
We celebrated two 30 birthdays and everyone knows on your birthday you eat cake and wear a crown!
We visited Pollenca, Alcudia Old Town and Port de Alcudia during the week. They were all nice but nothing beat having our own villa!
We played lots of silly games late into the night – sardines, charades & cards whilst drinking our cheap wine. So cheap it cost 59p from Lidl and it wasn’t half bad!
We spent some time down at our local beach, had lunch at the most picturesque restaurant and of course watch the sunset with a sangria in hand.
Most importantly I got to hang out with the best bunch of people!
Lots more on Mallorca to come! If you haven’t seen this yet, here is a video of my time at the villa.
