After going to the launch of Street Feast back in May, I knew I had to go back ASAP. So to celebrate a friends birthday we all went to Street Feast to sample yet more deliciousness on a gorgeous sunny London afternoon (they are rare so you have to take them).
We found a table and headed straight for the Street Feast bar for tequila slushies’. I sampled these last time and had raved about them to my friends so we all got some and basked in the sunshine.
My first stop at Street Feast was Grill my Cheese. I started following these guys on social media a couple of weeks ago in preparation and was anticipating the best cheese toastie in London but what followed was a good cheese toastie that was basically tiny. I follow them on instagram and although I know pictures can be deceiving I was a bit gutted.
The cheese was amazing I can’t lie but the actual sandwich was small and it was all gone in a few bites. At £4 I thought it was a little steep. After demolishing the cheese toastie I was off to find the next food stall that would hopefully fill me up a little more.
Mother clucker was calling me, as I approached the team I asked if it was spicy and they proceeded to give me a chicken strip to try (with a smile I might add) and I knew I’d hit the jackpot. The Mother clucker chicken at Street Feast was insane! They serve buttermilk soaked, twice battered fried chicken strips. I got six strips to share with my friend for £6, now that is value for money. The chicken also came with two dips, one hot and one cool. Seriously recommend these guys!
There was a surprise visitor at Street Feast that evening as well, Adam from Man vs Food made an appearance where he was trying all sorts of goodies for a new show. He was surrounded by security and after a feeble attempt at trying to meet him I took this ridiculous selfie.
After a few more margarita slushies’ I tried a bit of Cara’s chili cheese fries from Breddo’s Taco’s. I can also say these were top notch!
Dan went for the ribs and from all account were amazing.
We all had a great time at Street Feast. It is a really fun way to spend a Friday night and especially if the sun is shining!
