|The lovely Anne x|
So onto the food, well we perused the menu even though we had both already decided after looking at the menu earlier in the week and ordered our starters and mains. Anne went for the Meat Fruit which is chicken liver inside a mandarin, such an original dish and delicious on bread. I had Salamagundy which was chicken oysters with horseradish cream and a salad. It was melt in your mouth goodness and we knew that this was a sign of things to come.
After our taste buds had been tempted and we’d had a couple of glasses of wine we were ready for our main course. Anne had the pork chop and I went for the chicken. I have never eaten chicken like this before, it did literally melt in my mouth, it was so soft and tender and incredibly tasty and it was a very generous portion. We also ordered a side of mash to share and we were both so glad we did as it was so soft and creamy and went perfectly with both meals.
