The next stop was this colourful mural
Before heading down to the South bank where we were greeted with a lot of lights cue Christmas warm fuzzy feeling!
After a few snaps on the south bank it was straight to the London eye that was so brightly lit up with blue. I love seeing the London eye, it always reminds me that I am in London and just how awesome this place is.
The next stop was somewhere I had never been before and even knew about, this was Leake Street Tunnel. The story goes that because there is nowhere you can ‘legally’ graffiti in London, Banksy the kind gentleman that he is bought this tunnel and has allowed people to come and show off their graffiti skills and it is totally legal! Charlotte and the team kindly gave everyone some spray paint to have a go, me being the less creative type just took photos.
Following the tunnel we headed over Westminster Bridge and because it was around 9.30pm at this point it was totally empty and actually an enjoyable experience! The Eye, Big Ben (Big Benny as I like to call him), Westminster, Houses of Parliament were all on show lit up.
Next stop was down Whitehall where I learnt that there is only one place to ‘legally’ solicit prostitution. Back in the day Cromwell got rid of prostitution from all bars in London but somehow forgot this one on Pall Mall and so after all these years it could still be legal, although I’m not about to try and find out! We also ran into this guy.
We finished in the geographical centre of London at Charing Cross just steps away from Trafalgar Square.
