More tea arrived and so did the savouries and sweets and I couldn’t wait to get stuck into them. First of all there were scones and clotted cream followed by some of the most delicious sweets I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.
So if you are wondering whether Claridges afternoon tea is worth the £50 price tag, I would say yes! It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and even after we nattered on far longer than we were probably supposed to be there they never asked us to move on. It was so great to meet Kelly, share stories, adventures and discuss what it’s like living on the other side of the world with English boys.

I’ve already booked my next afternoon tea at the Mandeville with my girlfriends as a Christmas treat AND it has free flowing champagne! I think Kelly may have started an addiction as all I’ve done since is research afternoon teas!
