I am always trawling through old travel photos looking for something or just reminiscing and recently I found that so many of my travel photos have the same theme ‘View from the top’ so I thought I could start a little series on my blog about all the great places where I have had a view from the top. So to start it off I will begin with my most recent view from the top which was the Arc du Triomphe in Paris.
There is around 300 steps to the top of the Arc du Triomphe and I can imagine a little tough if you are not fit. There is a first level that provides background information about the arc and also about other arcs around the globe that are similar.
Having been up the Eiffel Tower and seen the view from the Sacre Couer I can confirm (in my opinion of course) that this is the best, although I have been told the one from the Notre Dam is not bad either.
So I hope on your next visit to Paris you will give this view from the top of the Arc du Triomphe a go.
I hope you enjoyed reading my first in this series, look out for next weeks ‘View from the top’ from Florence up the Duomo.
