So here is a little bit about me:
I’m a kiwi, I’m 28 and now consider myself a Londoner. I am a teacher and although my job is incredibly demanding and has changed so much in the last two years I do still enjoy it as it is fast paced, different every day and allows me to continue my love of travel 13 weeks a year!
I don’t have too much of a life plan, I thought I did up until recently but actually the older I get the less life plans I want to make or am able to make. I know London is home for now but it won’t be forever just like New Zealand will always be home but not for now. So I’m in this weird interim in my life where I don’t really know what I want other than to go travelling long term.
So we are scrimping and saving our pennies and hopefully in the next year to 18 months we will leave London, rent out our beloved one bedroom flat, take a year off work and go travelling. Predominately Africa and South America as this is fairly new territory for both of us which is important. We are hoping to see some more of the States and Central America as well but we will go where we can until the money runs out.
After that who knows? Maybe the hustle and bustle (and pay packet) of London will lure us back, maybe I will be craving a slice of kiwi life or maybe we will pack our bags and go and live somewhere else like Singapore where we can both get work as teachers at a British School. I think what I am getting at is that the possibilities are endless and our London days are numbered. I will continue to read blogs about my dream destinations and dream of the day (in the not too distant future) where I will be packing my bags for one hell of a journey.
So there you have my yearly personal post. Hope you enjoyed x
