So here goes:
In two weeks time I am going to Paris for a long weekend with my girlfriends for my hen do. I can’t wait to board the Eurostar on Friday evening, crack some wine have some girly chat and enjoy the time with my friends. Here’s a little collage of me and my girlfriends.
I am then going to see kiwi songstress Lorde play at Brixton Academy. She’s kind of amazing and even better that she is 17 and from my home town. She was also on the front of this weeks stylist looking fab.
The week after that I am going to the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace hosted by non other than the Queen herself. I was very lucky to be selected for this event and am totally chuffed to be going. All I have to do now is buy a new outfit! My invitation arrived in the post yesterday and it is so special I will be framing it and putting on the wall!
At the end of June me and Dan are going to Amsterdam for the weekend. I went to Amsterdam back in 2010 for a few days of craziness so this time I’m thinking it’ll be a bit tamer (but who knows). I am really looking forward to going to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank house. I sound like a proper grown up now don’t I?
When we get to July it is going to be wedding stuff and more wedding stuff! I have tastings, make up trials, payments due and all sorts of other things! But also some pretty great stuff, my best friend arrives from New Zealand on the 14th and my sister arrives on the 21st. I’ve got lots of nice things planned with my sister – we are going to Brighton, Buckingham Palace and a west end show. Later that month my parents arrive and we will go to Bath and meet my future in laws. On the last day of the month my sister and I will check into one of the most amazing buildings I have ever seen for the eve of my wedding. The St Pancras Renaissance is so iconic and so (expensive) luxurious we won’t want to leave!
Once my wedding is over and done with at the beginning of August we’re off to the Maldives for 12 glorious days. I don’t know anything about the holiday other than I’m sure I will be glad the wedding stress will be over.
Once we are back from the honeymoon we are off to Italy for a week with parents. We will be going to Venice first for a few days (this time I am going in summer so hope I will like it even more) before getting on a train to the Cinque Terre town of Montorosso. All I am wishing for is sun, gelato, wine and great Italian food.
Once September comes around and it is back to work there is still two more trips in two weeks to be had. We will meet my parents in Jersey for Dans birthday. I am hoping the sun will still be shining on the Channel island and it will be the last bit of summer. My parents go on to St Malo in France before meeting us the following weekend in Paris for my Mum’s 60th birthday! That is going to be such a special time and I can’t wait to show my parents one of the most wonderful cities in the world!
Now I know most of the places I am going in the next four months I have already been to but I think that’s the beauty of travel, you go to so many places and then you can go back to those really special ones that you love and that is what I am doing this summer. So many things to look forward!
