The Natural History Museum skating was just lovely and a really enjoyable way to spend a cool Friday evening. The rink was like most of them (looks much larger in the photos) but still sizeable enough to have a proper skate around. We arrived after paying £14.85 online to the skate counter, picked up our neat blue skates and headed out onto the ice. It was funny in the beginning watching everyone hug the side, eventually most people could skate around. Of course myself and my friends were all pros and didn’t need the guidance of the edge!
We had 50 minutes of skating, taking selfies, taking photos of each other, gossiping, catching up and of course above all enjoying the wonderful view of the Natural History Museum all lit up for the festivities.
I would recommend doing some ice skating in London during the festive season, this is my going to be my fourth Christmas here and it was the first time I have done it! So many more Christmas things to get done in the next two weeks – Winter wonderland, Christmas shopping, Southbank markets and mulled wine drinking.
