As I live very close to Camden Town I walk there from my house, then head down to Regents canal via The Lockside Lounge. After 10 minutes you pass ZSL (London Zoo) and you can catch a glimpse of Wild African Dogs and you also pass under the avairy. There is a turning on the right (sign posted) to Primrose Hill. It is a short walk through this lovely part of town to the park. I love seeing how the ‘other half’ live. There are beautiful houses and even better pubs along the way.
After a pit stop in the cute garden at Princess of Wales it was on to Primrose Hill. I’m a massive fan of Hampsted Heath and especially the view from Parliament Hill so it will always be hard to beat but this a close second. It is a good panoramic view over London with most of the big sights.
After a small lay down at the top it was down into Primrose Hill town for a 99 ice cream cone. This little village is very ‘middle class’ but worth a look on a Sunday afternoon all the same, you never know which celeb you might spot too.
We walked to the end of the high street and ended up on Regents Park Road bridge which had some wicked murals, in particular a steam train one that my Dad would love.
It’s a very short walk back into the Camden Town madness.
I love London in the summer.
