It’s been awhile since I went to Hyde Park to sit outside and listen to some tunes like then so yesterday was perfect opportunity as the sun was shining and the band was the Rolling Stones. As we approached the grounds I could see people clutching their tickets and many smiles of excitement, I must say I was a bit jealous!
Now although I saw them two weeks ago at Glastonbury I still wanted to hear them as who knows when or if there will be another tour. The set list was exactly the same bar one song (Ruby Tuesday) and Mick used the same lines to pump up the crowd.
Hyde Park was full up with so many people with their picnics and cool bags for what was the hottest day of the year. The beauty of these great shows is that you can be sitting just beyond the wall and hear the gig pretty well, I could make out every song and it was nice to listen and hang out with friends.
Sometimes I bag on London but it’s times like these you do realise what a fantastic city it is, how many times can you sit in a wonderful park and actually listen to the Stones, not many!
Love you London.
