I couldn’t imagine staying on the mainland or even Denerau after seeing the diverse and beautiful Fiji islands that are on offer, why wouldn’t you go that little bit further for a real piece of paradise.
The resort itself is owned by two kiwi guys are around most of the time, it is run on a day to day basis but the local Fijian community that also reside on the island and a few outsiders which I really liked.
Our bure was a stones throw from the stunning beach that had an impressive coral reef and turquoise coloured water that Fiji is so famous for. There’s not a hell of a lot to do but I managed to get through 2 books, lots of snorkelling, meet some wonderful people and managed to for the first time in a long time just relax.
I would highly recommend Octopus Resort in Fiji to anyone, it is super inclusive and it doesn’t matter if your in the dorm or in the biggest bure on the beach, everyone comes together at dinner to eat together and everyone pays the same. So much fun, such great people I look forward to the next Fijian island adventure.
