The first one is in a few weeks. When I was back home in NZ I always thought ‘when I live in London I can just jet off to some exotic European city for the weekend’. But after being here for 18 months I’m yet to do it!
So Stockholm it is next month. I figured it’s not a place I’d like to go for more than a few days and it’s not too far so I can do it in a weekend. Although I’m a little concerned at how cold it’s going to be, I’ve heard all good things about Stockholm and I’m really looking forward to it.
In 8 weeks time I will also jet off on one holiday I really didn’t think I’d get to opportunity to do for a long time. But thanks to a bit of saving and trawling the internet for an affordable safari I will be going to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar for Christmas and New Year. I will actually be on safari for Christmas this year, and a nice tropical island for New Years Eve. It doesn’t get much better than that! Check out the itinerary…
In February next year, I will be going to Italy (again I know!) to visit the places I didn’t get to this summer. I will be going to Venice for the Venice Carnival, Verona (for Valentines Day) and then to Florence and Rome. I loved Italy the first time and I’m so excited to go back. The food, the sights and the history is just too exciting. It will be nice to go in winter as well, I think although the al fresco dining won’t be as popular, the place will have such a different feel to it. Check out the events for Venice Carnival….
