So we mainly just wandered around the streets, drank beer, watched the weird antics that were going on the main square for a cultural festival. It wasn’t as cheap as I had imagined as they now use the euro but still anything is good after London prices.
After spending a few days blissful days out of the city in the beach town of Parnu, we came back for a further two nights. We sampled the local night life on the Friday, which was quite colourful (a lot of English stag do’s though). Everyone spoke perfect English and to top it all off it was absolutely fabulous weather the whole time. The last day was spent at the park chilling out in the sun. Tallin is tops, I really enjoyed checking out this quirky little place and would recommend for a cheeky weekend away. The flights are cheap and it takes only a couple of hours from London.
The strangest thing about Estonia is that at this point in the year there is around 19 hours of sunshine a day. The sun sets properly around 11pm and it is up again at around 3am. Its quite strange but also awesome as it makes the day so much longer, and when your on holiday I couldn’t have asked for more. I have never been in a place where the sun shines at 3am so it was a really different experience.
