We then decided to walk over the Tower Bridge and as we were in the middle of it a sail boat was approaching and the bridge went up. Was in a great spot to see it happen, was amazing how quiet it got and then as soon as the bridge was back down it was business as usual for crazy London.
My friend Matt has arrived in London so thought it was a good opportunity to get out and do some more touristy things. We saw the usual Big Ben, Westminster and walked along the Thames. Then we decided to head to Tower of London as I’ve heard if your going to pay for a tourist attraction in London this is the one. It is a huge estate with loads of different castles that date back to over 900 years ago. Torture chambers and ‘Bloody castle’ were among them but my favourite was going into the crown jewels castle. This building is home to all of the Royal jewelery and the worlds largest diamond. The doors alone into this building were two tonnes. It was awesome to see such amazing pieces that are so old and have been worn for centuries.
