Archives for June 2010
Spent a lovely evening in Hyde Park last night. The sun was shining and there was a concert on. Being the cheap skates we are, we sat outside and listening to the tunes of the great Sir Paul McCartney. Pretty impressed with the quality of tunes he sang. Had a sing along to ‘Hey Jude’ of course and was impressed with the amount of Beatles songs he sang. I love London for reasons like this, sitting in the park with a bottle of wine in the company of good friends.
Well I am a bit naughty for flagging off work but you would too if you were currently in London and Wimbeldon was a short tube ride away.
I have watched this prestegious event many times always wishing and hoping that one day I would make it there, cue tomorrow I shall have my wish. The weather is fantastic in London at the moment, a high of 25 is expected and the picnic of sammies, chippies and wine is packed ! Being a huge tennis fan it’s like a dream come true!! Let’s hope I can catcha glimpse of the talented and gorgeous Rafa Nadal.
After tweaking my CV and putting it up on the website CV library. I have been inundated with phone calls from agencies wanting to sign me on, there’s been so many I’ve had to stop answering my phone and pick ones that sound good on their voicemail. I attended my 6th interview for agencies today….as you can imagine I’m slightly over it and hope that someone can pull finger and sort me an interview. Got my 2nd day of relieving tomorrow, so it’s good to finally get out there, get some experience and most importantly earn those pounds! It’s only going to take me an hour and a half to get there – walk, tube, walk, bus, walk! Phew lets hope I make it.
Well, it’s been awhile since I blogged so thought it was time to let you know whats been happening.
I have been staying with the wonderful Elsie and Noel Houghton in Hammersmith for a week now. The couch is comfy and the food is fab! There are some great bars and food places and a gorgeous park to chill when the sun is out. I have enjoyed my walks to the tube and back over the awesome bridge. The best part of Hammersmith is….PRIMARK!! The best cheap clothes shop, you can’t help but buy something everytime you step in.
