So I’ve been in the UK 1 month today. Time really does fly when your having fun.
I’ve visited 4 countries and seen lots of my lovely friends.
So it really is time to start knuckling down and find a job because although I love not working and having no responsibilities, these trips to London are never cheap 🙂
So this week I have 2 interviews with agencies for permanent jobs in London. It’s time to decide where I want to live to choose a job that is nice and close to where I live. Visited Shephards Bush on the weekend, and although it has lots of Kiwi’s and Aussie’s and there would be a room available for me in a mates flat it’s not what I came to London to do….live and socialise at places like that.
So got a taste of what its like to flat here as well, it wasn’t a shock but I just didn’t expect it. Majority of flats I went to, everyone is room sharing just because it’s cheaper, and they have dosers who stay for £5 a night. Cracked me up to see the airbed on the floor, but hey more money for everything else 🙂
On Friday met up with 3 people from the Contiki trip and 2 other friends for dinner and drinks in Camden Town, went to a great Cuban restaurant and had yummy tapas
Went to a couple of aussie bars on the weekend…it was fun but not really my scene. On Sunday they had power hour which you pay £10 and get 10 drink vouchers and you got 2 hours to get through it.
Looking forward to a trip up north next week!!
